Approximately six years ago I moved from New England to Fort Myers, Florida…..looking for a new dentist was no easy task as I had left one I considered to be excellent. My dental insurance directed me to a strip mall dental office that I was not so sure about….the dentist they assigned to me was a female by the name of Dr. Laura Van Varick. I had never had a female dentist in my entire life so I was even more concerned about what type of dental care I was going to receive. Well, looking back on that day I now realize that I was a very lucky person to have been assigned her as I had never experienced the professional courtesy, knowledge and sensitivity that she displayed. She knew her craft and she performed it well!

It was approximately one year later when she informed me she would be leaving that office and opening her own office in the North Naples area. At first I was very disappointed to learn she was leaving, and then I thought about what a great role model she was for young women who wanted to have a career in Dentistry – to have the courage and self-confidence that they can and will be successful on their own. You see, I am a high school teacher and Dr. Van Varick was even willing to have any high school student come and observe what life is like being a dentist….she wanted to let young men and women know that they can achieve their dreams too!

I decided that I would follow her to her new location in North Naples even if that meant driving extra miles to her office. You see, when you find a dentist or physician that you truly believe in and who always has your best interest in mind, you don’t care how far away they are, you go there knowing you will receive the care you deserve. It is also refreshing to have a dentist that only does what needs to be done! She has never suggested any dental care that wasn’t needed, something else that sets her apart from others in her profession.

In closing, I consider myself very fortunate to have the wonderful care of Dr. Van Varick. She has put together an office staff of very kind, caring, honest and professional people who, like herself, have your best interest in mind! I highly recommend Dr. Laura Van Varick without reservation. You may walk into her office a complete stranger but you will walk out feeling like a family member! 
